The recommended method:
The easiest way to get the MP3 tracks onto your iPad or iPhone is to download them to your computer and sync them over to your iPad/iPhone the same way you would sync any other MP3 music tracks.
If you want to download the files directly to your iPad/iPhone:
The MP3 products are downloaded from our web site as a zipped file containing the audio tracks along with instructions for how to use the tracks.
Because Apple did not include a feature in the iPad’s or iPhone’s operating system to allow users to download zipped files, if you want to download the tracks directly from our web site onto your iPad/iPhone you will need an app that can open zipped files. There are many free apps available for this purpose. (See below for more information.)
Please note, this problem is not in any way related to our MP3 files or our web site. You will run into this same issue any time you want to download a zipped file from any web site anywhere on the internet. This is a known iPad/iPhone problem and is discussed actively on Apple’s tech support forum.
This is why we recommend downloading the files to your computer and then syncing them to your iPad/iPhone instead. Downloading them to your computer also allows you to keep a backup copy of the files on your computer in case anything ever happens to your iPad/iPhone.
While our staff is not equipped to provide iPad/iPhone tech support, we do take note of the apps our customers recommend and keep a list here to aid other customers. Some of the free apps that can open zipped files are:
- Downloads Pro Free
- Documents by Readdle (also sometimes listed as ReaddleDocs)
- Zip Viewer
(These apps are created and maintained by other companies. We have no control over them so we can’t guarantee their effectiveness or provide tech support for them.)
